I began studying classical violin at five years old under the tutelage of Rick Bienick in Durham, NH. As a classical musician I performed with the Great Bay Orchestra for six years as well as several other youth orchestral ensembles around New England.
About 10 years ago, I took an interest in playing world folk music. In 2007, I was inevitably introduced to the art of street performance, otherwise known as "busking". Mentored by seasoned busker Kevin Pafford. I began my career on the streets of Exeter, NH. I've been street-hustling on the fiddle ever since, and I've picked up even more folk violin styles.
Nowadays, my soulful serenades can be heard on sunny days echoing through downtown Santa Fe as I play a mixture of Celtic, American folk, Klezmer (Jewish tradition), Slavic folk, jazz, classical music, and the occasional movie theme. My repertoire spans dozens of countries and cultural traditions, perfect for Santa Fe's international draw. Around town I'm known as "the violin girl".
In addition to my solo stuff I also play with the Speakeasy Jazz Cats and I front a klezmer band here in town, the Yidl Fidl Band. Check out some of our music below!
